Pelvic Floor and Exercise Fundamentals for Gyms and Coaching Teams

You’ve built something incredible. Your coaching team is skilled, dedicated, and genuinely invested in their clients’ success. You’ve created a culture of education, evidence-based practice, and excellence.

And yet, when a client mentions leaking during double-unders, or asks about training through pregnancy, or returns to the gym postpartum wondering how to rebuild their core, there’s this moment. That split second of uncertainty. Not because your coaches aren’t good enough, but because this was simply never part of their education.

You’re not alone in this. Pelvic health has been the fitness industry’s blind spot for decades. It just wasn’t mentioned in your qualification or training. And somehow, despite affecting roughly half the population at some point in their lives, it’s been treated as “someone else’s responsibility” for far too long.

You know your team could serve these clients brilliantly—if only they had the tools

You see it constantly. Clients who trust your trainers with everything else but go silent when pelvic health concerns come up. Pregnant members who quietly slip away rather than ask for modifications. Postpartum athletes who assume they just have to “deal with” symptoms that are absolutely trainable.

Your coaches want to help. They’re asking for resources, trying to piece together information from Instagram posts and random articles. They feel the gap as much as you do. This isn’t about anyone not being educated enough, it’s about finally having access to education that should have been standard all along.

Here's why this gap has persisted:

Pelvic health education has historically lived in the clinical world—designed for physiotherapists and medical professionals, delivered in language that doesn’t translate to the gym floor. It’s not that fitness professionals couldn’t learn it; it’s that no one was teaching it in a way that made sense for coaching contexts.

It’s all “here’s the anatomy” and not enough “here’s exactly what to do when you have a client who leaks with box jumps.”

Meanwhile, your clients might be quietly managing this alone. They’re getting conflicting advice from Google, being told to “just do Kegels,” or “never do Kegels”, or being told they should stop training altogether. They desperately need the kind of informed, practical guidance that great coaches provide… they just need coaches who’ve been given the education to provide it.

And let’s be clear; this isn’t a gap in your team’s abilities. This is a gap in the industry.

Every gym and coaching team has it’s own way of programming, coaching and working with clients, which is why Pelvic Health & Exercise Fundamentals is bespoke to your gym and based on your gym and coaching philosophy.

Together we’ll complete a briefing form so the training can be designed to meet your exact needs, so the below content is for guidance only.

What makes Pelvic Floor & Exercise Fundamentals different?

  • This isn’t a self paced online course because your gym and coaching teams want hands-on, practical application alongside the education and anatomy of pelvic health.
  • This isn’t a 12 week course, but a condensed workshop to quickly up level your teams knowledge around pelvic health for active females who need more than just “do some Kegels”.
  • It’s evidence based alongside nuance and how to make it individual, versus the narrative you’ll find on social media that often leads with blanket statements.
  • It positions your coaching team and gym to be ahead of the curve when it comes to women’s health

How it works

  • Once you’ve booked your workshop and made payment, we’ll complete a briefing form to understand your gym, your clientele and pelvic health challenges that you see (or you can use the guidance above to help us develop your session).
  • I’ll develop a plan for the session for you to sign off.
  • I’ll deliver the session and you’ll get to keep slides, videos and resources.
  • There’ll be a follow up call a few weeks after the session to see how it’s going.

About Beth Davies

Hey, I’m Beth and have spent the last 13 years in the fitness industry. I very quickly realised that my Pre & Post Specialist course was no more than a name tag and lacked the depth I needed to truly help the clients that came my way. And so started the journey to pelvic health and exercise and helping clients for whom pelvic health IS THE BARRIER to exercise or to training they want to be doing. Being able to support clients who have pelvic health concerns has meant I have worked with the most amazing clients.

I believe that the fitness industry misses the opportunity to provide personal trainers or exercise instructors with the education they really need to work with the female population (especially if they are going through big life transitions where pelvic health can be a factor). Instead, these conversations get brushed under the carpet, active females get pushed into accepting leaking with deadlifts, or always feeling heaviness when they jump.

I understand what it’s like to feel “totally lost” or frustrated when you want to help but don’t have the tools. I’ve been there Googling unfamiliar words or wondering if I could even help. These workshops are designed to give you exactly what you need – practical, accessible, focused education that fits within your scope and adds depth to your knowledge about active females.
